Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 6. I will then key in on verses 20-23. Friends, many of you were not brought up in a Christian home with Christian parents. If that is the case, as it was with me growing up, you can substitute God as being your Father. He is your Heavenly Father. Today, as we close out the week, I will go over two passages of scripture which deal with the importance of scripture (being familiar with it and reading it) and the love of God (and the importance of knowing how much He loves us). First, we will look at 2 Timothy, Chapter 3 and read verses 10-17. Verses 16 & 17 tell us the importance of why everyone should read scripture. I will then go to 1 John, Chapter 1, and read verses 5-10. This passage of scripture tells us that God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. We, as Christians, should follow this example and walk in the light as well. Call to Action: Have a blessed weekend! Take a load off, allow yourself to spend some quality time with your spouse and kids and have fun! Remind them of how much God loves them, and how much you love them. Suggested scripture reading: 1. Reread the proverb of the day, Proverb 6 today, Proverb 7 tomorrow, and Proverb 8 on Sunday. In addition, reread the two chapters of scripture we went over today: 2 Timothy, Chapter 3, and 1 John, Chapter 1.
