Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 6. I will then key in on verse 19 - A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren. Friends, today we will continue our study on the Book of Job. Today we will be looking at Chapter #19. By the time we read this entire chapter, there are three points that I would like for you to consider:
1. Job blames God for everything that has happened to him. Friends, I will remind you that the Book of Job was written over 1,000 years before Jesus came to Earth. He was unaware that Jesus died on the cross for us, and that we could put our trust in Him.
2. satan speaks lies to Job. At the time the Book of Job was written, Job was unaware that there was a devil. Without this knowledge, it was only natural for him to blame God. However, we, as born again believers know that satan is real, and that he comes but to steal, to kill, and to destroy (John 10:10). If anything goes wrong in your life, he is the reason.
3. Job puts his trust in God. Friends, like Job, we can put our trust in our Heavenly Father (and His son Jesus).
Looking at verse 19 of Proverb 6, we know that God hates lying. If God hates it, we are to hate it. satan is a liar, and the father of lies. When he comes to attack you, do NOT listen to his lies.
Call to Action - Ask yourself this simple question - Are you Putting your Trust in God? If not, I suggest that you begin doing so.
