Description

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be looking at Proverb 9. I will then key in on verse 10 - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is Understanding. Friends, we truly should live our lives with a reverential fear of God. We need to humble ourselves and understand that our trust needs to be in God Alone (and not ourselves). On today's podcast I will go over the passage of scripture found in Luke's Gospel of the woman who had been bent over in her back for 18 years. She was unable to stand up straight. I will read verses 1-13. This story highlights the hypocrisy of the Pharisees - the religious leaders of the day. They were upset with Jesus because He healed this woman on the Sabbath Day. I then go over the fact that many of us do our best to present ourselves every day as our best. I will next go to the great love chapter in the Bible - 1 Corinthians, Chapter 13 and read the first 8 verses. Friends, it doesn't matter what we look like - how we present ourselves to others --- IF we don't notice others. We need to pay attention to the people around us. We need to see these people the way that Jesus saw this woman. We need to do what we can to smile at them, to encourage them, to help them if we can, and to "stand out" as being like Jesus.

Call to Action - Do you notice the people who might otherwise be "invisible?"
