Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 27. I will key in on verse 6. I will then transition to the book of James, Chapter 2 and read verses 1-13. This chapter talks about not showing partiality. This is something that many people do - especially when it comes to professional athletes and movie star (even politicians). We look at their position in life and often overlook the fact that they are not really good people and do many things that we know are not right to do. I will then go over three important lessons that it would be good to learn: 1. Do not show partiality; 2. God uses the poor people of the world that are rich in faith to further advance His kingdom here on Earth, and 3. Fulfill the royal law - which is to love the people of this world. I will then remind people of Romans 12: 1-2 and 1 John 2:15-17 and encourage people to not be so materialistic and to focus on loving the people in their lives that are important to them (and not be so focused on the material things that we own.)
