Shortly after Thomas and I, had our fourth daughter, we celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. In retrospect that seems like a short time, but since we had experienced so many different phases together, it seemed like a big accomplishment. I have talked about the radical changes, that took place after we got married, and how we finally found what we were looking for, peace with God.
Our first 3 ½ years were somewhat of a wild ride. But after we ended up at the Christian ranch called Living Waters, our lives became a constant stream, of peaceful and joyous moments. Everything made sense when we realized, that God had a plan for our marriage, our children and our future.
Now at this time in our lives, we were on cloud nine,
rejoicing over having a new baby, and a new home in Blumenau, Munich. In Episode 99 that I titled “Just Us”, I described our new beginning after leaving the communal housing we were used to. Recently, I found in my box of old cards, the following letter that Thomas had written for our anniversary in August 1979. It was like discovering a secret treasure, when I opened up the folder paper. It is kind of fragile, but because he wrote with large handwriting, the inside still looks fresh and is easy to read. On the front he drew a heart with the words “From your Beloved.”
