We begin Holy Week and our sermon series leading up to Good Friday & Easter Sunday by examining the role of the Fig Tree in Scripture as a symbol for both judgment & fruitfulness. The fig tree figures prominently not only in the Old Testament but also in Jesus' stories & signs during His earthly ministry, including notably during His final days leading up to His sacrifice on the Cross and ultimate Resurrection.
