SCRIPTURE TEXT: Judges 8:1-35
As our life lengthens, each of us becomes more likely to ask "What have I accomplished..." (Judges 8:2a). Coming to the conclusion of our study of the life of Gideon the judge, we see that while God used Gideon to accomplish great & liberating victory for Israel, the legacy of strife, snares, & sin wrought by idolatry reared again in the leader's latter days and even more after his passing. Yet in both positive & negative ways, Gideon's life & legacy lend lessons on handling hindrances to harmony, health, & holiness.
