Description

My brother Dan is a regional director of a nation-wide crane company.  He oversees five branches where these branch managers are empowered to lead as they see fit to meet the goals and outcomes of the company.  What he has experienced, is that some lead through action, but many do not.  Why you ask ... because action leadership is WORK!  When you are empowered to lead and see something that needs attention, you have to do it, or hold someone else accountable to do it.  It is easiest for many to simply "not notice it."  These leaders have to be trained and that takes time.  The leader sets the culture and climate of the organization.  They must take 1,000% ownership in that and lead as a reflection of themselves.  As a supervisor, your time in developing an action mindset is worth 10x the investment.  GO for it!
