Who doesn’t love a little summertime anarchy? This week we watched one that caught Tay a bit by surprise: The Purge (2013)! This movie was EVERYWHERE when it came out, and it was fairly controversial before filming even began. We discussed the mixed reviews of the film, why it didn’t necessarily live up to some expectations, why people SHOULD give it a chance, the filmmakers’ intentions behind the film, and of course touched on what we would do if the Purge became a reality. After all, are we really that far off from something like that happening?
