Today's episode features Damany Gordon, and his mother Theresa Cooper-Gordon. Founders of Genuine Culture, LLC. A Western Massachusetts based, multifaceted company that organizes and promotes live entertainment, film series, theme parties and seminars. Damany recalls a time when his parents, who were heavily involved in music and the community, would hold fundraisers with live music for community organizations, which subconsciously planted the seed for Genuine Culture, LLC. Mrs. Gordon, although a New Yorker, and her late husband from Philadelphia, after meeting at The University of Massachusetts Amherst and eventually getting married, realized after having Damany growing up in Amherst would be better for her kids. Damany remembers a time where the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts was a big stop for big Hip-Hop acts of the time and with Genuine Culture, LLC.
