Jeff and Big Dave introduce themselves and cover all the big trades that happened in the NHL at the trade deadline, starting with the Patrick Marleau trade (0:00-8:35), then they discuss the other Pens trade as they acquire Conor Sheary and Evan Rodrigues (8:35-19:01). After that they discuss some of the bigger trades that happened, starting with Ilya Kovalchuk trade to the Capitals (19:01-25:40), then they go over to the Jean Gabriel Pageau deal to the New York Islanders (25:40-31:30). After all that Jeff and Big Dave go over the big deals that were made by the Hurricanes (31:30-40:10). Then the controversial moves of Lehner going to the Golden Knights, the Goodrow deal to the Lightning, and some moves the Oilers made, along with other things that happened in the NHL (40:10-50:15).
For Baseball Talk the guys talk about Madison Bumgarner’s secret alias of Mason Saunders and how he competed in rodeos, plus they talk about the Houston Astros getting the boo birds in Spring Training games (50:15-1:04:34).
