Description

"The majority of my life was chronic use of prednisone for my asthma."

Melody was 56 when her daughter found the answer of what she was going through... You guessed it... TSW. She had been questioning things every single time she would go off of the drug prednisone and her skin would flare. Through her daughter Erica's research, she discovered that she may be going through Topical Steroid Withdrawal, and sure enough, that was exactly it.

"I wish It was named 'corticosteroid withdrawal' instead of topical, because mine wasn't due to topical use."

Her withdrawal journey began in April 2016. Her first 8 months were truly terrible (with her first month because extremely severe) and after that, she would experience flare ups here and there until the beginning of 2019. And then... she was healed, completely!

Information on Prednisone:

Prednisone is used to treat conditions such as arthritis, blood disorders, breathing problems, severe allergies, skin diseases, cancer, eye problems, and immune system disorders. Prednisone belongs to a class of drugs known as corticosteroids. It decreases your immune system's response to various diseases to reduce symptoms such as swelling and allergic-type reactions.
