Somebody put this on a double bill with 'Force Majeure'. But seriously, no two films could be more different. This high-concept science fiction mindwalk has only three main characters, each with their own motivations. There is Caleb, the talented programmer who wins a chance to evaluate a ground-breaking creation; Nathan, the visionary inventor who welcomes Caleb into his home; and Ava the artifically intelligent android who fascinates both men. Phil found himself underwhelmed by what he saw on screen. Andrew had some definite opinions about what the film says about mankind. Serious stuff! Give this podcast a listen.
