Description

Along comes a film about a hero on a journey that captivates an audience and transports them into a magical world.  This is not one of those films.  'Beasts of No Nation' is a bleak tale of a young African boy who falls in with a rebel militia and loses his innocence in a world of violence.  It is the first film distributed by Netflix, concurrently released online and in select theaters.  Idris Elba plays the Commandant, who leads the army of child and teenage soldiers.  He's good, but Andrew and Phil both feel his part is underwritten and could've been much more developed.  Chances are you know of this film if you have Netflix.  Tune in to this episode to see if it's worth your time.
