Description

Never has a film about an athlete seemed so pedestrian.  Stephan James plays Jesse Owens, the legendary track and field sensation who won multiple gold medals for the U.S. during Hitler's Berlin Olympics in 1936.  Jason Sudeikis (???) plays the coach who never achieved his own dreams of glory and instead tries to live vicariously through Owens.  The screenplay is on par with a Movie of the Week in it's dramatic complexity. Some people like their films easy to swallow, and this one is surely light entertainment. But Andrew and Phil don't have a lot of good things to say about it...
