If you like the idea of seeing a real boy run around in a fake jungle and stand next to fake animals for two hours, far be it from Andrew and Phil to stop you from seeing this version of 'The Jungle Book.' It is essentially an animated film, but with cold, computer-generated precision; not nearly as warm as the original Disney film. The directing by Jon Favreau is uninspired. Andrew was particularly disappointed in Favreau's inability to stage musical numbers that do justice to the songs. Overall, Andrew and Phil don't recommend this film, but know that many people will see it anyway.
