Description

September is a funny time to release a film.  It's on the cusp of the traditional autumn Oscar-bait season, but too early to stick in the minds of Academy voters.  'Sully' is the new film directed by Clint Eastwood, and it has all the earmarks of a film destined for critical acclaim and awards.  Not the least of which is Tom Hanks.  The true story of the pilot who landed his critically damaged plane on the Hudson River is gripping, and largely unknown to the general public.  Andrew and Phil discuss this very well-realized film, of particular significance to Andrew, who was living Manhattan at the time of Sully's heroic act.
