The final chapter in the Wolverine saga (unless Marvel finds it profitable for a reboot) is the morose LOGAN. Hugh Jackman is the larger-than-life title character, now living as an alcoholic limo driver after the X-Men have disbanded. He takes care of Professor X, who is getting older and weaker. Logan merely wants to be left alone, but a little girl mutant enters his life and turns his world upside down. The story is too archetypal to be cliche', especially considering how committed the film is to this trope, but Logan finds himself the unlikely father figure a child's life. Throw in some serendipitous political allusions and poorly directed action scenes and you've got the latest Marvel installment.
