Taki and Mitsuha are two typical Japanese teenagers. He lives in Tokyo, she lives in a rural town called Itomori. They don't know each other, but as a mysterious comet approaches from outer space, strange things begin to happen. Taki and Mitsuha periodically switch bodies and inhabit the other's life for a day at a time. From this premise comes an involving fantasy. Phil voices his dislike for the style of Japanese animation and Andrew defends it, while simultaneously acknowledging that it's not for everyone. YOUR NAME. is the highest grossing Japanese film of all time, and it's well-worth seeing, as Phil admits, even if anime is not your cup of saké.
