A film about the enormity of time that occasionally feels like an eternity. But that's the point, surely? A24's newest offering is one of their best, according to Phil but to Andrew it suffers from unconvincing performances by the two leads. Is it enough just to intellectually know that two characters are in love? Or does the audience need to feel it as well? This is a film about love ultimately, and while stronger performances would certainly help, the themes A GHOST STORY explores offer a thought-provoking viewing experience.
