A film that weaves together an entire community of resonant characters, all tethered together by the star, Christine 'Lady Bird' McPherson (the indomitable Saoirse Ronan). Greta Gerwig's directorial debut is getting a lot of praise, and rightly so. She also wrote the script and it pulsates with real situations to the point that it seems wholly autobiographical. Andrew and Phil both loved it. Another direct hit from A24, who are putting all other film distributors to shame with their consistently stellar releases.
