The true story of eccentric millionaire John DuPont's relationship with wrestler Mark Schultz and his brother Dave is the subject of this slow-paced, contemplative drama. Steve Carell is soaking up the spotlight for his chameleon-like transformation into DuPont, but the acting is first-class all around.  The tragedy at the heart of 'Foxcatcher' is full of dimension and the filmmakers do succeed in fleshing out the characters and their differences, but ultimately director Bennett Miller has crafted an unengaging film. Andrew nails it on the weighty themes at play in this story and Phil laments that a more emotionally involving film could have been made from this substantial real-life material. The two film critics give 'Foxcatcher' it's due, as it was a highly anticipated film for them both.
