Kevin McDaniel, Editor-in-Chief for Accessibility.com, is an ADA Coordinator and Certified Accessibility Professional, and has served in numerous roles as an advocate for persons with disabilities, including Disabled Services Division Chief, 508 Compliance Officer, and Accessibility Project Manager, and continues to serve on numerous boards and commissions that advocate for persons with disabilities. Kevin has been recognized by the Florida Council of the Blind for his work in improving access to information technology and the City of Jacksonville for his management of the city’s Project Civic Access transition to ADA compliance in coordination with the Department of Justice. He has also received recognition for his work in effective communication by the Independent Center of Northeast Florida and the State of Florida’s Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. In 2021, the City of Colorado Springs received the Colorado Cross Disability Coalition’s Kathy Vincent Award of Effective Communication for his work in digital accessibility.
