Since 2007, Kristen Griffis has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Elder Options, located in Gainesville, Florida. Under her direction, Elder Options administers an array of programs and services designed to benefit older adults, persons living with disabilities and their caregivers. Ms. Griffis was raised in Lakeland, Florida and moved to the Gainesville area in early 2000 where she began her work with Elder Options. Prior to being appointed as the Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Griffis served as the Director of Planning and Outcomes Analysis, and then as Elder Options Associate Executive Director. In her more than 20 years with the agency she has seen many changes in the field of aging and has great passion for the work. Ms. Griffis also serves as the President for the Florida Association of Area Agencies on Aging and is a Board member for the Southeastern Association of Area Agencies on Aging. Ms. Griffis earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Central Florida in Public Administration.
