On this episode, we welcome back a force of nature! Mira Gaitanis joins us this week to give us a life update, as she’s getting ready to graduate from Florida State University and planning for law school. She talks with Tony about universal design and why its critical not just for education but also to extrapolate outside of education into areas like transportation, the workforce, etc. They dive into what it would mean if we could work towards implementing universal design throughout the world and making cities fully accessible.
In this inspiring conversation, Mira shares with us her vulnerabilities, such as, internalized ableism- how its impacted her and how she’s used music as cathartic means to work through her challenges and difficulties. They talk about representation and what its like for her generation to be living through these times, in regards to what’s going on in the world and the movements that are happening in between the great resignation and the anti-ambition movement. Mira continues to share her vulnerabilities and what it means to live with a growth mindset.
