English breakfast.
🇬🇧 We are very happy with this 12th episode (3rd one in English) because we had the pleasure to share it with the one and only: Christian Buss. Although he was born in Germany, he considers himself a world citizen. He grew up in Gran Canaria (Canary Islands), has lived in different cities and has traveled to many countries as well. He currently works for Repeople, one of our partners during Pueblos Remotos Agaete “The Break 2022” program.
We started talking about the English breakfast tea which is Christian´s favorite tea, such a classic one! We discussed the tourism sector and the difference between tourists and visitors, but the main focus was on our “roots”. When you’ve traveled so often and lived in so many places you are not sure where you belong anymore. For Christian it is easy: his roots are where the people he loves and care about are, for him it’s all about the people. The best way to summarize is: “people make places” as Gonzalo mentioned.
We also agreed on the importance of having a positive attitude towards everything in life and that it’s never too late to change or start something new if you are passionate about what you do. We invite you to listen to this podcast because you will not want it to end! ;)

🇪🇸 Estamos muy contentos con este episodio número 12 (tercero en inglés) que tuvimos el placer de compartirlo con Christian Buss. Él nació en Alemania, aunque se considera ciudadano del mundo. Creció en la isla de Gran Canaria (Islas Canarias), ha vivido en diferentes ciudades y también ha viajado a muchos países (por motivos laborales y personales). Actualmente trabaja para Repeople, uno de nuestros socios durante el programa Pueblos Remotos Agaete “The Break 2022”.
Empezamos hablando del té English Breakfast que es el té favorito de Christian, ¡todo un clásico! Hablamos sobre el sector del turismo y la diferencia entre ser un turista y ser un visitante. Pero el foco principal estuvo en nuestras “raíces”. Cuando viajas con tanta frecuencia y vives en tantos lugares, ya no estás seguro de a dónde perteneces. Para Christian es fácil: sus raíces están allá donde están las personas que él quiere y por las que se preocupa; para él todo gira en relación a las personas. La mejor forma de resumirlo es: “las personas hacen los lugares” (people make places) como mencionó Gonzalo.
También coincidimos en la importancia de tener una actitud positiva ante todo en la vida y que nunca es tarde para cambiar o empezar algo nuevo, sobre todo si te apasiona lo que haces. ¡Te invitamos a escuchar este podcast porque no querrás que termine! ;)
