This is episode #06 Chapters 11 & 12.
1 Chronicles Chapter 11, was about David, who was then made the second king of Israel. The people gathered before David who was at Hebron, and they welcomed him as their king. They proclaimed that the Lord sent David to shepherd his people, when even during the time of Saul, he was the one who brought his people in.
1 Chronicles Chapter 12, tells the story of the men who came to join David’s army. Some had been with David since shortly after Saul, the former king, had banished him. David has now become King over all of Israel. These men were well armed and able to sling stones with both their right and left hands. They were relatives of Saul from Benjamin’s tribe.
