Welcome back to Reading with Ben! Let's continue the lecture on the book of 1 Samuel.
This is episode #05 chapters 09 & 10.
1 Samuel Chapter 09, Saul was a very good-looking man who lived in Israel. He was a Benjamite and was somewhat well-to-do. Saul’s father went to his son and let him know that the family’s donkeys were missing. He asked Saul to go look for them. Saul and a servant went out looking for the donkeys and they searched all through the land of Benjamin.
1 Samuel Chapter 10, Samuel anoints Saul with oil, kisses him, and tells him that God has made him the king. Samuel tells Saul that when he leaves that day, he will meet two men near the tomb of Rachel. They will tell Saul that they found the donkeys that Saul is looking for and that Saul’s father is worried about him.
