Description

Welcome back to Reading with Ben! Let's continue the lecture on the book of Leviticus.

This is episode #05 Numbers chapters 9 & 10.

Numbers Chapter 9, God spoke to Moses when he was in the Sinai Desert. He told Moses to tell the Israelites they were to commemorate the Passover with a celebration at an appointed time. The appointed time was to be on the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight. Moses told the Israelites and they celebrated Passover in the Sinai Desert at the appointed time. God also said that foreigners were also allowed to celebrate.

Numbers Chapter 10, God tells Moses to make two trumpets from hammered silver. Moses is to use them to gather the community together, as well as for signaling the various camps to set out. When both trumpets are sounded, the entire community is to come together at the tent. When one trumpet is sounded, the clan leaders are to gather before Moses. The order of the trumpet blasts will signal which tribes are to set out.
