Description

On Sunday 5th January we started the New Year with a timely message about Abraham's journey.

Abraham sets out on a journey in Genesis 12, he didn't know where he was going (no map apps or even postcodes in those days!) and we read in Hebrews 11 that he never even got there!

Two things to remember at the start of this New Year, no matter what the year looks like it might hold:

1. The journey is more important than the destination - this doesn't mean outcomes are wrong, but it does mean God looks for obedience and faithfulness as the most important things.

2. Embarking on a journey can mean leaving something good being in order to reach something better. There is always more for us to encounter.
