Tim Barton spoke on Isaiah 40:1-5 at our Sunday service, 11th September 2022, starting our new series on the book of Isaiah called Comfort My people. Isaiah is a book all about who God is, what he does and what he has to say to his people. The people of Israel often turned to the book of Isaiah to understand what God was doing, who he was and how they could find comfort in their difficulty. Whilst respecting its historical context, there is much that is applicable for us today, especially as we are in a season where people need to know more of the comfort of God!
