How did sports shape your life growing up?
"Coming from the sport of swimming, it's a pretty demanding sport when it comes to practices. From young age, going to practices at 5:30 in the morning before Junior High and High School teaches you a lot about commitment and character, and overall what dedication can do for you in terms of results. Those lessons carried over into my professional career as well."
Steve's advice to current athletes preparing for their transition out of sport:
"For many athletes, just starting is the biggest piece. You have to jump into something, and you have to check your ego at the door. You're used to being the elite person in the room, and you're gonna have to start off maybe not being the elite person."
