On this episode of Alumni Direct's show "ATHLETES TO ENTREPRENEURS: The Alumni Journey," we talk to Josh Burger, former tennis player, professional tennis coach, sports psychologist and founder of TieBreaker Psych.
Joss discusses his journey from playing sports throughout his youth, discovering tennis, playing at the collegiate level, and eventually transitioning into a professional coach.
Josh's advice to current athletes facing a transition out of sports:
"Really try to be clear about what your strengths are. I think that's important. Hopefully you have some sort of a network built...so use what's at your disposal, and have conversations...with coaches, with teammates, with friends.
Sometimes by talking to other people, they can help you discover what you're really good at, what makes you special, what makes you unique. And then it can be a little bit easier to understand sorts of jobs or roles could be good for you."
