Conversations part 2:  Someone needs to hear this episode.  I continue talks with Simin Farkhondeh. She has such wonderful stories that exposes the challenges of being a caregiver of her mom with Vascular Dementia.  The decisions, the worry, the concerns, the near death experience, that can only be described as a miracle, are honestly and compassionately brought to life.  I share my stories also, though different from Simin's, yet the same problems and fears complicate both our lives.   Someone needs to hear this. So many new and unthinkable situations to deal with have us busy and sometimes confused. We had to change our way of dealing and looking at our Mothers. Someone needs to hear this. Our experiences are so different for getting our parent into a Nursing Home.  Covid changed the game. Pre- Covid you had to wait for the administration to decide and select who would be accepted  and that meant months of waiting.  Post - Covid  you had to keep calling and be persistent in hopes of getting the right person at the right time and maybe an opening was just made available. Then you're in. Life changes so quickly. The rules change, and we can't be totally prepared but we can be armed with information. That's why it's important to hear the stories and experiences of others.  Episode 12: SOMEONE NEEDS TO HEAR THIS.
