Description

Today Paula Rice is back to talk about Alzheimer's research and how important it is for people of color to participate. Her personal experience with her mom who had Alzheimer's and her extensive work with Alzheimer's is geared to give more people knowledge about the disease. Dementia and Alzheimer's affect so many and their families especially in the African American community. There are institutions that have research studies to help find a cure or treatment or more information about risk. People of color need to participate so findings can relate to our gene makeup.

Paula Rice is a part of the Columbia University team but there are other universities and health institutions that have research studies going on. AND the studies are free.

Episode 92 of Autumn is Here is to encourage people of color to seek out research studies and participate so we will know what treatment specifically may work for our community.
