You're never too young to be a caregiver.This beautiful story is told through the eyes of a granddaughter who had the honor of giving back the care and love to her grandma who raised her. Temise Toon shares a story about the journey her and her grandmother, Zelma Toon, went on together as they cared for each other. As a baby she was taken in by her grandmother who loved and nurtured her. It is only natural that when her grandma started slowing down and needed assistance that Temise stepped in; Actually she was always there, learning and growing into the best caregiver her grandma could have. When you are a young person , eager and ready to start your life, it is difficult and challenging when you are met with the responsibility of caring for your parent. You're not ready but you may have to get ready. How? As Temise will tell you, it wasn't easy but she stuck it out and was rewarded with peace. The peace, in that her grandmother was ready to go and Temise had done the best she could while her grandmother was alive.
