We begin our journey into the study of St. Paul's epistle to the Philippians. Joy seems to be the central theme of the letter as he mentions it several times. Joy is a gift we get from God. Our joy is hinged on the confidence we have in Him. It is the assurance we have that we are and will be alright as long as we are rooted and grounded in Him. Joy is not circumstantial, situational or flickery. It is rooted in the integrity of God. How then do we fully receive this gift and apply it to everyday of our lives?
