The fields are bare, the leaves have fallen from the trees, and the skies are beginning to turn gray and cold. It is the time of year when earths emanations seem to die, at least symbolically and lay dormant.

as it happened this reverence, and the other similarly correspondingly important events observed in their annual cycle set in motion a calendrical set of traditions that were passed down to following generations in the hopes that the society might follow them to be able to not only to survive but thrive ..

it is uncertain how exactly these traditions and their very real astronomical associations became known to various peoples , even across geography and time and even defying language barriers , but none the less they were certainly in play and an integral part of not only physical life of an ancient people but a spiritual as well,

join us on thought rebellion today where we examine some of the lesser known origins of samhain and reveal whats behind some of the better known traditions around both superstition and the sacred , to hopefully gain a greater understanding of the modern day holiday that endures from an ancient past , known today as halloween
