Genesis 22 is the passage where God calls Abraham to offer Isaac to him as an offering. And the thing is that Abraham actually obeys to the point of offering Isaac. What can we learn from this difficult passage today? Was God asking too much? Is God heartless? If we look at only part of this passage it does come across that way. But when we read the whole chapter and then read this chapter in light of the rest of Scripture, it opens up to yet another beautiful act of love and grace done on our behalf by God.
