Welcome back to another episode of JobTlks Podcast. In this episode we tackle a tough topic: #generationalgap in the #fireservice. There are currently 5 generations in the #American workforce. All 5 generations have been shaped by significant events occurring in their lives. These events give people different perspectives on life. They effect the things we find important to give and to take from our employers and careers.
Not everyone fits exactly into one box or identifies with a single generation. However, we know generational gaps exist. As employees of the fire service, we work in #nofail environments. We cannot ;et these gaps divide us. We may not be able to close these gaps always, but we can bridge them and create two way communication between them.
A #foundation and #culture of #respect for our peers allows us to bridge these divides and deliver a better service to our customers.
