In this episode we visit Harrisburg, NC and chat with a fellow native Marylander. Growing up in Hagerstown, MD he followed in his father's footsteps into the racing world where he grew up driving micros as well as karts built by his father. After moving near Charlotte, NC with his family in his teens he got hired at 17 by Ray Evernham as a tire specialist. The next 15 or so years have been spent pursing his goal to become Nascar crew chief. Off the road now and with karting in his blood...... we explore the rebirth of Hammer Karts. Entering back into the karting world with a fresh set of eyes we find Alex leading the way in testing alternatives to traditional methods in the sport through both tires and the winged outlaw karts gaining popularity across the country. We discuss life as a father, racer and now a business owner.
