This is the final message of our James Series: Faith Foundations
The topic we discuss in this sermon is not one we take lightly and I know trigger words are unavoidable. But my prayer is that you listen and interact with this sermon in a way that God's word challenges you. False believers and backsliding Christians are massive areas that the church can struggle to handle. So we open up the message with defining terms and truths of these areas, then we focus on how to minister to these two groups!
Points:
1. Just because your "in church" does not mean you're safe. Check your hearts daily.
2. When others fail in sin, remember we ALL need grace.
3. Never be afraid to confront anyone with the truth. It can save them from danger or death.
Question: what is your faith rooted in? the assurance of your own personal conversion by Christ, or the culture and circles you grew up in?
