My prayer is that this sermon sparks your thoughts and heart to seek the premise of your own sin nature. And of where you stand with God? The message ends with the answer to sin and the only hope we truly have! Jesus.
Points:
1. Sin is never a forced upon issue, its who we are naturally. Don’t pass blame, rather press into the cross!
2. Wake up and preach the gospel to yourself! Sin is real, it is active and Satan is very good at using it against us.
3. Yes, the world and the people around us are lost in sin and loving it. Let that motivate us to shine that much more the light of Jesus.
Questions:
1. Does realizing how sinful we ALL are in the sight of God make you more thankful or doubtful of the grace we receive in Jesus?
2. Does the reality of knowing that Jesus doesn’t just do away with the commands and guidelines offend us or give us hope?
3. Have we ever been guilty of treating people who admit their sins and struggles to us differently depending on the sin?
