Our first topic discussed is that of Truth? And how can we trust the Bible if people wrote it?
To close: remember the claim I made that Jesus was the most EXCLUSIVE – INCLUSIVE TRUTH?
23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God - Ro 3:23.
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Ro 6:23.
9 If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, Everyone who believes on him will not be put to shame,, 12 since there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, because the same Lord of all richly blesses all who call on him. 13 For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved., - Ro 10:9–13.
It is exclusive because it is in Jesus alone that we can be saved and born again.
It is inclusive because it is the message of salvation for everyone.
Points:
1. The Truth does hurt, but that’s okay, real truth eternally heals also!
2. We can trust the bible! If we can trust the gospel, we can trust the rest of the pages also!
3. In a world where nothing is absolute, hold on to Jesus. He is unchanging peace!
