Alicia and I discuss a whole host of topics on todays episode about life as an Olympic Diver including things she has never revealed before about her mental health and struggles during her diving career.

We talk about the constant pain and mental battles she endured as well as going into the injury that finally forced her to prematurely retire at just 23 years old.

Alicia Blagg

Alicia Blagg became England’s youngest ever double diving national champion in 2010 when she took the 1m springboard and 3m synchro titles aged just 13.

Alicia partnered Rebecca GallantreeĀ  at the London 2012 Olympic Games, the 2013 European Championships (taking bronze) and at the 2014 Commonwealth Games before returning to the Olympic arena at Rio 2016 where they finished fifth.

Earlier this month Alicia retired from the sport at 23yrs after a "heart-breaking" shoulder injury.
