Dr. Heather Branstetter is a Wallace Idaho native, and came by to talk about her love of reading and writing from a young age including submitting short stories to news papers and magazines, earning her degrees, teaching at universities, running for mayor of Wallace and her book "Selling Sex in the Silver Valley - A Business Doing Pleasure", a book about the seedy past of prostitution in her hometown of Wallace, the self proclaimed "Center of the Universe".
Dr. Branstetter graduated summa cum laude with a BA in English and philosophy and has a PhD in rhetoric, writing and cultural studies from University of North Carolina. She has taught classes at U.N.C., Wake Forest University, University of Idaho and the Virginia Military Institute.
