Sermon on Psalm 85 for Advent 3, Gaudete Sunday. Jesus, the "Coming One," the Word Incarnate, Truth made Flesh, is located in the most unlikely places. As Psalm 85 says, "Truth springs out of the earth." This makes all the difference for us, who like John the baptist, may appear outwardly tough, but inside we're an absolute mess. It means Jesus is not far off from us during trouble, but right here with us.
