In our conversation this episode we walk through the importance of practicing lament and how to write our own laments to the Lord. Through the practice of personalizing a lament we can lay all of our pain and messiness before the Lord who will never stop loving us or get tired of us bringing all of our struggles and deep hurts to Him. This expression of trust in God allows us to struggle through our emotions with Him, not apart from Him, and begin to move towards hope in Him despite our emotions and circumstances.
This episode was originally recorded as part of our Real Life Discipleship Counseling class in 2021. You might notice slight differences in the audio quality, but it fits in perfectly with this season’s theme of suffering. It has been a fruitful teaching for so many and we wanted to share it will you here. We hope it bring you and hope and help wherever you are today.
