How can trauma be passed down?
There’s a growing interest in the question of whether trauma experienced by our parents and grandparents may impact our mental health.
Our guest, Dr. Maritta Philp, MD, a successful coach, therapist, and author has gone through so many traumas which her parents have experienced. First, she has a Jewish ancestry and didn’t survive the holocaust. Second, her mother had a blood disorder. This led to her separation from her mom. This directed her to become a loner, feeling she’s not enough, and felt she doesn’t belong to any group.
She has worked as a General Practitioner in the United Kingdom for about 20 years before focusing her energy more on supporting her clients and writing, having published her first book “Doctor’s Choice – A Hard-Working Doctor’s Guide to Creating a Life of Freedom” in 2018. She published her second book “Womanhood – Reclaiming the Power of the Sacred Feminine” in 2021.
Now joining the Dream to Rise Anthology Book wherein she will share how she got healed from her trauma. Dream to Rise will be published on Dec. 5, 2023, and I am truly honored to have her in this anthology book.
Dr. Philp is now supporting her clients in overcoming obstacles, enabling them to step into a self-directed and empowered life, both personally and professionally.
She is passionate about enabling women to step into their power and create a life they can be in love with, a life that reflects their most important values and hopes.
She sees herself as an explorer of human consciousness and evolution, being interested not only in who we are as humans, but who we are becoming.
Let us welcome, Dr. Maritta Philp.
