Is your ego triggering you? Does ego make you feel superior to other people? Why does it matter?
Ego is our false self, the person we become so other people will like us, admire us, and accept us. Ego is also who we tell ourselves we are without question or who other people have told us we are.
Our true self is the “I am.” Ego is what comes after the “I am.” I am smart. I am good looking. I am rich and famous, and so on.
Ego is that part of us that is overly preoccupied with survival, accumulation, and success. It works to build an identity that both sets us above everyone else and helps us to fit in.
In our interview with Brett Shuttleworth, who is a Motivational Speaker & Spiritual Expert, used to be a professional rugby player, billboard supermodel and Hollywood actor. He is also one of the co-authors of our forthcoming Dream to Rise Anthology.
This thought-provoking exploration, we unravel the layers of ego, understanding its role as a mirror reflecting the depths of our inner being. It's a dual force that both shields and reveals our true selves, where the interplay of light and shadow within the ego becomes a pathway to profound insight.
I am so fortunate to have with us Brett Shuttleworth.
